About Matt Middler Coaching
Why Charity Sector Coaching?
The UK charity sector is values led, yet far too often, resource poor. This has led to a culture of self-sacrifice with both burnout and turnover on the rise. Many leaders are paying a personal price for the positive impact they create. Charity workers are expected to deliver the world with little to no resources, capacity, and support. They put the needs of everyone else first; be that service users, donors, volunteers or colleagues.
Since 2021, we have supported more than 150 charity leaders across the UK. We work with CEOs, senior leaders, and ambitious professionals in the third sector – people who are passionate, talented, and driven, yet often stretched thin. Leaders who are expected to deliver high impact with limited resources, and who need, but don’t often get, the time and space to think, reflect, and reset.
Our mission is simple: to help values-led leaders create positive impact without personal sacrifice.

About Matt
Throughout my career, I’ve been a proud advocate for LGBTQI+ rights, a volunteer, trustee, professional fundraiser, and leader across a range of local and national charities in Scotland. Over thirteen years I was part of raising over £50M for four important causes, but it came at a personal cost to my physical and mental health.
I believe in working for a fairer, more equal society – but we get there by investing in the people leading that change. Matt Middler Coaching exists to unlock the potential of those trying to create a better world.
